There is something poignant about a photograph that does not deign to capture a moment in time, that is comfortable in letting its punctum sit outside the momentary “snapshot” of a series of phenomenologically linked intervals, and that instead shows an after and lets you imagine how reality crinkled up its atoms and the space-time continuum to arrive there.
